Dr. Nicholas Gidosh is the Chief of the Cornea and Contact Lens Clinic at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, where he pursued the advanced studies curriculum in specialty contact lens fitting and is now an assistant professor. Dr. Gidosh also completed a Cornea and Contact Lens residency at the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State and is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Gidosh has served as a clinical investigator for studies involving hybrid, scleral, multifocal, and orthokeratology lenses. He also has presented lectures and posters at national and international conferences on these topics.
Dr. Gidosh’s current areas of research are in optimizing scleral lens optical and fitting designs for patients with irregular corneas like keratoconus and those with multifocal needs. He also researches and lectures on myopia control strategies particularly orthokeratology as it pertains to patients with astigmatism.
