Blair Armstrong, MD

Dr. Blair Armstrong is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastic, orbital, and reconstructive surgery. She has a special interest in eyelid reconstruction and cosmetic surgical and nonsurgical treatments of the face and peri-ocular region. She has been selected by her peers as a Top Doctor in Castle Connely and Philadelphia magazine since 2022. She was chosen as “Top 40 under 40 Ophthalmologists” by Ophthalmology Management magazine in 2022 and Pennsylvania Medical Society’s Top Physicians Under 40 in 2024.

Dr. Armstrong’s Education and Accomplishments

Dr. Armstrong grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs and is an honors graduate of Boston College. She completed her medical training at Thomas Jefferson University of Medicine. In medical school, she was inducted into the Pathology, Hobart Amory Hare, and Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical societies and was awarded the Beach Scholarship for service, compassion, and scholarship. Dr. Armstrong pursued her internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center and completed her ophthalmology training at the world-renowned Wills Eye Hospital. Dr. Armstrong then completed a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastics, orbital, and reconstructive surgery at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

Following fellowship, Dr. Armstrong became the Director of Ophthalmic Plastic, Reconstructive, and Orbital surgery at Boston University and an assistant professor at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Armstrong has authored numerous publications and book chapters and has been an invited speaker at several conferences and meetings.

Dr. Armstrong has practiced in the Philadelphia area since 2018 and is proud to be joining Philadelphia Eye Associates. When not working, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband and two daughters, and leading an active lifestyle.
